The objectives of this research project are to investigate new possibilities for the applications of ADA-Gel based hydrogels [1] as a bioink for 3D bio-printing technology. One approach being investigated is the development of composite hydrogels incorporatinf bioactive inorganic particles [2]. The bioink is intended to be use in 3D printing methods to construct complex structures for bone and vascular tissue engineering applications. Also the effects of different structure’s designs and biofabrication strategies on cell proliferation will be studied, including the in vitro characterisation of the novel constructs.
