Prof. Dr.-Ing. Guoxin Tan is Professor of Bioactive materials at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Guangdong University of Technology, China. She is currently a visiting researcher (from Oct, 2017 to Sep, 2018) at the Institute for Biomaterials, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. The research activities of Prof. Tan are in the fields of bio-electroactive materials [1-2], cell encapsulation in hydrogels [3-4] and polymer/ inorganic composites [5-6] for bone engineering, functional and/or structural applications.
