In this project, mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles prepared by sol-gel method are loaded with therapeutic agents. Several plant derived biomolecules are considered to promote osteogenic differentiation and angiogenesis and to exploit synergistic effects with bioactive glasses [1]. The drug-loaded bioactive glass nanoparticles are characterized in terms of drug loading capacity and drug release profile.
